About This Tour

Turtle Encounter Pack – Witness a Natural Wonder in Tortuguero

This package offers you the rare opportunity to observe nesting sea turtles along with two exciting nature tours: a canoe expedition and a guided jungle walk through the Jaguar Trail.

How It Works

The Turtle Encounter Pack is designed to be flexible to your schedule.
The recommended itinerary is:

• Day 1: Arrive around midday and enjoy the Turtle Nesting Tour at 8:00 p.m.

• Day 2: Begin your day with a peaceful Canoe Expedition at 6:00 a.m., followed by a Jungle Walk along the Jaguar Trail at 2:00 p.m.

If needed, it is also possible to complete all three tours in one day, depending on your timing and preferences. We are happy to adapt the experience for you!

Turtle Nesting Tour

Prepare for a magical night-time experience as you witness sea turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs on the beaches of Tortuguero. Led by certified guides under strict conservation protocols, you’ll observe this ancient ritual while learning about the important efforts to protect these incredible creatures.
Available only during turtle nesting season (July to October).

Canoe Expedition

Paddle through the serene water channels of Tortuguero at dawn, when the jungle is most alive. Jungle Walk along the Jaguar Trail
